Vehemente is another athlete in the IE Stable found and acquired at the Fasig Tipton Saratoga Fall Sale; this time in 2022. Clark Shepherd of Shepherd Equine Advisors assisted with the purchase of this well-built filly. She is by VEKOMA out of the STORMY ATLANTIC mare, Resoundingly. Her female family is loaded with back class and contains many graded stakes horses such as Champion 2yr Old Canadian filly, WAVERING GIRL, and other notable runners such as FLEET WAHINE, STAR OF VALOR, TRICKY CREEK and PARADE GROUND.
Like many all our athletes, Vehemente has been cared for by the best as she was sent to historic Audley Farm, in Berryville, VA for additional Virginia Accreditation and development before shipping to Joe Sietz at Foxboro Farm in Versailles, KY. At two, she was prepped by Jorge Villagomez of JVC Training in Ocala Florida. She is trained by Joe Sharp and made her first start in July 2024, finishing a game 2nd. She broke her maiden, in November at Aqueduct Racetrack winning convincedly in MC company. She will be pointed to allowance and starter company moving forward.
