The mission of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) is to improve the economics, integrity and pleasure of the sport on behalf of owners and breeders. International Equine is proud to be a corporate member of this esteemed organization.

The Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) is a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides financial assistance to 60 former jockeys who have suffered catastrophic on-track injuries. Since its founding in 2006, the fund has disbursed nearly $11 million dollars to permanently disabled jockeys, most of whom have sustained paralysis or brain injuries.

Thoroughbred Charities of America’s (TCA’s) mission is to fund and facilitate the support of Thoroughbreds and the people who care for them. TCA provides grants to approved non-profit organizations and offers supporters a way to give to one organization while helping many.

Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation is the nation’s leading private source of equine research funding, having individually contributed more than $19 million to 40 universities since 1983 to underwrite 287 specific projects aimed at enhancing the health and safety of horses. International Equine is proud to be a Patron Sponsor of this organization.

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredits, inspects, and awards grants to approved aftercare organizations to retrain, retire, and rehome thoroughbreds using industry-wide funding. Since 2012, the TAA has granted more than $24.5 million to accredited aftercare organizations and 14,500 Thoroughbreds have been retrained, rehomed, or retired by accredited organizations.

Light Up Racing (LUR) educates the industry and the public on evidence-based practices and positive initiatives designed to ensure the welfare of our horses.  LUR also holds space for needed multi-stakeholder conversations that will foster systematic changes and growth, ensuring full welfare accountability across everyone involved in the industry.
